Notes

Das Rut is a seattle improv / funk band whith many members also in Maktub. Their own web site describes them as having no members, no songs, and not even being a band. Lots of funky tunes, and they rarely play the same thing twice. enjoy!

Subject: Nice show
The on stage mics lose the vocals, as they tend to do..Pity the soundboard wasn't available to make this recording as good as it could of been.

Subject: Great stuff
Sound Quality: 3 of 5 stars. the on-stage mics make it so that reggie's vocals are low and lost at times. but the drums and other instruments are crisp and solid.

Show Quality: 4 of 5 stars. 3 full disks of Das Rut funky jamming. great stuff, reggie's word styling is unparalleled. Can't wait to see them jam somewhere besides the Scarlet Tree in seattle. Maktub is the only project of their's that seems to tour near me in southern california.

Subject: Good show, bad sound
This rockin' super improve band is a joy to see, but unfortunately this recording doesn't do the experience justice. Some good Thaddeus and CD moments though, and Reggie goes off on some interesting schizophrenic-like ramblings. Music is good but I would probably pass on the DL. I urge people who are not familiar with Das Rut, or any of the other incarnations of this ensemble to check um' out if they are ever in the Seattle area.
